Project example

The problem

In this illustrative project, I worked with a small business selling online and through a shop. Staff copied order details between systems and gathered sales figures by hand. Stock information often lagged behind daily activity, leaving the team unsure which records to trust when planning purchases.

What was implemented

I mapped the order and stock workflows, then used Make to connect Shopify, Cin7 and Xero. I added checks for missing details and a clear path for staff to handle exceptions. I also built a Looker Studio dashboard using agreed sales and stock measures. Before handover, I tested common scenarios with the team, including returns, cancellations and delayed stock updates.

The outcome
