Project example

The problem

In this illustrative project, I worked through a common problem for a small business selling online and in store. Staff were copying order details into accounts, updating customer lists by hand and piecing together weekly reports. I found that inconsistent product labels and missed updates made it hard to see what needed attention.

What was implemented

I built an n8n workflow to move eligible WooCommerce orders into Xero, with checks to flag incomplete records before they reached the accounts workflow. I connected consented customer data to Klaviyo and set up a Google Sheets report for sales and order exceptions. I tested common scenarios with sample data, documented the field mappings and added alerts so staff could see when a task needed a manual check.

The outcome

In this illustrative outcome, I left the team with a clearer daily routine and less copying between tools. Order exceptions were easier to find, reports were simpler to prepare and staff had a shared view of which updates needed their attention.
